Netflix has really transformed the way we watch movies and TV shows. It’s on demand and we can now “binge watch”. Another great thing about Netflix is are the “Netflix Originals” series and movies. Ones that are new and produced exclusively for Netflix, ones made in partnership with other networks or even sometimes shows that TV channels have cancelled and Netflix has then picked up and carried on making more.
Although these “originals” are great and everyone loves the idea sometimes it’s quite hard to find them and there is the fear that we are missing out on something that we would actually really enjoy. Simply doing a search on Netflix for “originals” doesn’t return all the results. A search on Google does bring up various lists with detailed text descriptions but sometimes what we really want is for them all to be on one page, categorised and a video trailer. This enables us to quickly see all the dramas or all the comedies or whatever, watch the short clip and then quickly decide if it’s something we want to watch or not…well, here on Steve Says this is is what you can get.
Let’s take a look at the Animated Sitcom!
The series takes place mostly in the Los Angeles area, specifically, in Hollywood (later known as “Hollywoo” after the ‘D’ in the Hollywood Sign was stolen in a romantic gesture). In a world where humans andanthropomorphic animals live side by side, BoJack Horseman, the washed-up star of the 1990s sitcom Horsin’ Around, plans his big return to celebrity relevance with a tell-all autobiography that he dictates to his ghostwriter Diane Nguyen. BoJack also has to contend with the demands of his agent and on-again-off-again girlfriend Princess Carolyn, the misguided antics of his freeloading roommate Todd Chavez, and his frenemy Mr. Peanutbutter, who is also Nguyen’s boyfriend. The series satirizes Hollywood, celebrity culture, and the film industry.
F is for Family
Follow the Murphy family back to the 1970s, when kids roamed wild, beer flowed freely and nothing came between a man and his TV.
