I Want Weetabix NOW..!

I am a sucker for adverts on TV. It has previously been said that I am a “marketing company’s wet dream…

If it’s a clever advert and it catches my attention then no matter what the product is – I WILL want to have it!

I’ve just watched the latest advert for “Weetabix” and even although I do like them, I’ve not had them for breakfast for ages as I’ve been more of a “Weetos” person of late. However, after watching the advert I actually want to go out and buy some right now so I can have them for breakfast in the morning…

I’m also secretly hoping they start making little toy Weetabuddies!

What other adverts have I enjoyed in the past? Ah, there’s nothing quite like a stroll down memory lane, is there?

Milky Way

Milky Way, the treat that won’t spoil your appetite! I loved this advert and when watching it again I still know all the words!

Coca Cola

When Coke produced the reunion version of their original “I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing” advert it got me interested in listening to more music from the 60s…

Softmints

Possibly one of the most surreal adverts from Softmints and it did make me want to bounce down the street as a kid but I’m pretty sure that Mr Soft is now on some sort of register…

Nutri-Grain

A more recent advert and this one from Nutri-Grain made me laugh so much and I think it was mainly due to the fact that it stars Lillian from the TV show Shameless

Aquafresh

To this day, every time I see a tube of Aquafresh toothpaste I always sing this song…

There are so many more that I could have picked from but already I’m putting on my coat so I can go to he shops the buy the above products!

What about you? Do adverts all the products to you? What’s your favourite advert?

OMG – Pft me…

  1. We used to drive a teacher nuts by singing the ad jingles in his class. The older ads were great as they were simpler and had distinctive songs. Now they just put the name of the song and artist on the bottom of the screen so you can go to iTunes to buy it. 😀
