Snap & Zap: Me, Myself and Eye…

For each Snap & Zap I will suggest a new theme so take a new photo or use an existing photo and edit it with any software you like, so…

  1. Create a new post showing the original
  2. What edits have you made?
  3. What software/techniques have you used?
  4. Link back to the current week’s page

The theme for this “Snap & Zap…” is Reflections.

I used my new camera and think that I got a half decent result without blinding myself in the process. I opted to try and take a photo of my eye and see what was in the “reflection”. The reflection in my eye turned out to be my dual monitors at my computer desk.

This is the original…brace yourself…

I used Windows Photo Gallery to edit as I don’t yet know how to use other fancy programs so well. I cropped it because part of my eye just looked gross…

Then I adjusted the exposure slightly…

And added a sepia effect…

I then wanted a colour splash effect so I used PicStitch on my iPad as I haven’t used any PC software to get this effect – any recommendations would be great. First of all I focussed the eye area and then colour splashed the entire eye…

But I thought it would look better with just the reflection of the two monitors colour splashed and this is my favourite…

Thanks for looking and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
