20 Years Later And There Is Still No Need To Argue…

Remembering that I’m Steve and I’m an iTunes-a-holic – I produce a weekly playlist of my Top 10 most played tracks of that week.

Thanks to last.fm, this is a fairly simple process.

Number One this week was “Ode To My Family” by The Cranberries.

Here is my Top 10 most played songs from the last 7 days…

12th October 2014…

Number One this week was “Ode To My Family” by The Cranberries. It’s so hard to believe that the album featuring this song, No Need To Argue was 20 years old this week. I played the album constantly when it was first released and have always been an avid follower of the band…

As I discussed in an earlier post this week Marina & The Diamonds dropped a new song this week which of course I love and of course it made me want to listen to all her previous albums. This is my favourite song from her and one of my all time favourites…

Belle & Sebastian will be releasing a new album in 2015 and I can’t wait for that. They are Scottish and they are fab. This song is an epic anthem of a track…

Take That also released a preview of their new song this week and Gary Barlow once again delivers the goods. They are now a three-piece but I am really looking forward to hear more of Howard singing as he sings on “Never Forget” and it is one of their songs that I like the most…

It was announced this week that there would be no new album this year from Adele. That’s disappointing but the longer she leaves it, the bigger the pressure to repeat the success of 21. I’m sure she can rise to the challenge…

“Eternal Flame” reminds me so much of being a teenager. I remember liking the Bangles when I was really young and then when they came back with this song I loved it. This version is a beautiful, acoustic performance from Susanna Hoffs…

What about you? What songs have you been listening to this week?
