Quirking (Not Twerking)

Are you ever surprised by something you do?

What I mean by this..is there something you are unaware that you do until someone points it out?

Let me explain further….

I was standing in the kitchen at work the other day waiting for the coffee machine to finish. One of my colleagues came in and said “oh, you’re standing on your tippy toes“. Not realising that I had been, I replied “haha, so I am”. The conversation then deteriorated about what a rubbish ballet dancer I would make…

During “table time” that evening (table time being 20 minutes of the evening where Greg and I take time out of whatever we are doing to sit at the kitchen table, have a coffee, biscuit and chat) I mentioned the tip toe incident. His all too casual response was “yeah, you do that all the time”

Apparently I always do it! More so when I’m waiting in queues. I even have a unique tip toe when I am emphasising a point.

Let’s just say I was shocked from head to the tip of said toes.

“That’s why you have such faaa….strong calf muscles” was the final comment before “table time” was suspended.

How bizarre!

I’d be interested in hearing if anyone else has “quirks” that they are not aware they are doing until pointed out…..

Which quirky habit annoys you the most, and what quirky habit do you love — in yourself, or others.
